• Do you know anyone with a disability? Talk to them.
• Test your classmates’ and school's accessibility and present your results! Remember to include:
• Ask the Council for a list of contacts for a local disability service to speak at your school.
• Represent people with disability. Join your Local Council’s Youth Advisory Committee.
If you know someone who is having difficulty, tell one of your teachers, parents or a youth worker. Make sure they aren’t forgotten.
• Suggest to your Minister to consider hosting a guest speaker to speak on disability.
• Do you have Hearing Assistance installed?
• Look at Church Notices, Signs, Websites and Publications.
• Does your church provide any resources - audio or print - for people who are immobile?
• With your friends or small group, arrange a morning tea for people with disability and carers.
• Run a Bible Study on Jesus, Healing and Disability. Watch the film Molokai for ideas!
