Two Lives Changed: Erasto & Gaston

2 happy children, ernesto and gaston, smile for the camera after their surgery for club feet.Sitting side by side in hospital, this was their wishful banter:

“I want to go to school,” said Erasto.

“Me too,” replied Gaston.

“I just want to play,” added Gaston.

“Me too,” smiled Erasto.

Erasto & Gaston were both born with club foot, their small toes and feet turned inwards.

As the boys grew, they found it very difficult to keep up with the other children.

Living in a remote village where the roads were uneven and rocky, moving around was difficult: having to walk on their ankles, each step was painful and made the journey to school impossible.

Look at the beaming smiles of Erasto and Gaston. Now, believe it or not, they’re not giggling and smiling for the camera.

Thanks to the donations from CBM Supporters, the boys are happy because by Christmas Day they’ll be playing with their friends and walking to school for the very first time!

Right now, people living in the poorest corners of the world are silently hoping for a miracle so they can enjoy the fullness of life: to play with their friends, to go to school or just to see their children smile.
