The New Takeo Eye Hospital



For over 13 years, CBM Australia has been instrumental in the development of the Takeo Eye Hospital in Cambodia.


In April, John Jeffries was in the presence of royalty when he represented CBM Australia at the opening of the newly developed hospital.

The Takeo Eye Hospital has been a key training and service program in ophthalmic and primary eye-care and in partnership with CBM, has been changing lives and restoring sight for thousands.

Cataract blindness in Cambodia is a big problem and accounts for 80% of blindness in women and 60% of blindness in men.

New wards have been built in the re-development of Takeo Eye Hospital, allowing more patients to be treated and receive the miracle of sight.
