2021 Advent Series – Week 2

Hi, my name is Joe Pinkard and I am the Church and Community Engagement Manager at CBM Australia. 

This Advent we’re praying for the hope filled vision that is promised to us with the birth of Jesus.  

In Luke Chapter 4 Jesus declared that he had come to bring good news to the poor, recovery of sight for the blind, and liberate those who are held captive. 

Our work reducing avoidable vision impairment and blindness is inspired and led by Jesus’s love and compassion. 

Let’s pray in line with the words of Luke 4:18-19. 

Lord Jesus, may you proclaim good news to the poor. Bring freedom to the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind. Please set the oppressed free and proclaim the year of your favour. Amen
